An option for noting the same sensory event more than once while practicing any noting technique. May happen in these ways:
- When you plan ahead to note each sensory experience a set number of times for all or part of a practice session. Common options include Double Note, Triple Note, Quad Note, or Note until Gone (i.e., noting a given experience until all or part vanishes).
- When you decide on the spot during a practice to intentionally place your attention on a given experience again (with the option to choose a set number of times or not particularly keep track).
- When you don’t make a decision but you find yourself repeatedly noting the same experience because your attention keeps getting drawn to it.
