Term Accelerators
Definitions Four structured ways to speed the growth of your mindfulness skills:
  • Response Challenge—intentionally taking in pleasant or unpleasant external sight, sound, or touch and systematically working with any reactions
  • Duration Challenge—moving less during training sessions for longer periods of time
  • Motion Challenge—attempting to maintain a technique during simple or complex activities
  • Situation Challenge—strategically practicing mindfulness techniques during life situations, which can be analyzed in terms of hedonic valence, time frame, whether you seek it out or it happens to you, etc.
