A quality of rest detected across the whole space of at least one sense category, even as activity may be occurring in that space.
- Global Feel Rest means you detect some form of rest across all of Feel (for example, physical relaxation, Emotional Peace, or both, across the whole body), and you’re able to have background equanimity with any activity in Feel. Global Rest is most commonly experienced in Feel and is often accessed by relaxing individual body parts and then the whole body at once. Can also be accessed by focusing on the global absence of body sensation (i.e., the sense that your body isn’t there, which may be a brief experience, but can be profound).
- Global Hear Rest means Rest is detected across all of Hear (i.e., both physical silence and mental quiet are detected) and you’re able to have background equanimity with any activity in Hear.
- Global See Rest means you’re able to detect Rest across all of See (i.e., both inner and outer visual rest), and you’re able to have Background Equanimity with any activity in See.
Called Two-Way Global Rest when experienced across two sense categories and Three-Way Global Rest when experienced across all three sense categories.
