Term Rewards
Definitions Pleasant qualities and effects connected to heightened mindful awareness that may be brought on, enhanced by, or built into the skills of CC&E. Can be experienced whether you drop into heightened CC&E without training or you intentionally develop CC&E. There are five useful ways to think about it:
  • CC&E may deepen fulfillment from any experience or situation that you consider pleasant, such as eating cake, watching a movie, or floating in a pool.
  • Pleasant states can occur as the result of heightened CC&E, such as energy (Flow), tranquility (Restful States), or emotional well-being (Feel Good). As your Baseline CC&E goes up, these commonly become more reliably present.
  • Each skill can have its own distinct reward qualities. For example, heightened Concentration lets you be fully absorbed in an activity, heightened Clarity can result in sensory richness or vividness, or a sense of discovery, and from heightened Equanimity there can be flow, purification, and ease of being.
  • Heightened baseline of CC&E offers long term rewards such as lower stress, greater spontaneity, improved well being, pleasant energy flow, etc.
  • From a certain perspective any reward you can possibly think of in life originates in your sensory relationship to it, which has its beginnings in CC&E.
